Ratha Ros grew up with Buddhist values. She has always been drawn to meditation, but only began a regular practice from 2012. She did her first vipassanā retreat at Dhammaramsi in 2014 under the guidance of Sayadaw U Thuzana. Since then, she has been doing several retreats a year, practising vipassanā and mettā. Between 2017 and 2020, she travelled to Asia for retreats lasting 3 to 6 months. In Myanmar and Nepal, she practised according to the methods taught at Panditārāma, following the tradition of Mahasi Sayadaw. She practised at the Forest Meditation Centre in Panditārāma, Myanmar (3 months), then in Nepal, where she studied Abhidhamma (1 month) at the International Buddhist Meditation Centre in Kathmandu, and practised at Panditārāma Lumbini (4 months). In 2019-2020, she spent 6 months in monasteries in Malaysia to practise and study the suttas of the nikāyas. Since 2021, she has been more involved within Dhammaramsi.
