Introduction to the basics of Buddhist culture (day for children)

The young people (accompanied by their parents) who attend this class will have the chance to learn about taking refuge, sīla (morality), the virtues of the Triple Gem, the life of the Buddha, how kamma gives results, unwholesome deeds, good deeds, vipassana meditation, mettā meditation (development of goodwill) and other lessons concerning Buddhist Culture.

The teacher, American nun Daw Vajiranyani, was a long-time resident of the Panditarama Shwe Taung Gon monastery in Yangon, where she taught Buddhist education and scripture.

Those who come by train should arrive at LUSTIN (2 stops after NAMUR) at 10.30am on Sunday morning (see www.sncb.be). A car will be waiting in front of the station. If you can offer carpooling, please let us know when you register.

When ? The proposed date and time for the course is the afternoon of Saturday 13 April 2024, from 1pm to 6pm. Those wishing to arrive early and have lunch on site can do so at 10.30am. Cost ? 20€ per family. Participants can make a donation to Dhamma Group if they wish.
